I don’t know if it’s just me or if you guys have noticed it too… but lately, more and more people are leaving the Countryhumans fandom. And honestly, I just figured out why.
It’s not because the Countryhumans characters are bad or the fandom isn’t worth loving anymore. Nope. That’s not it at all. I’m still here, and I have no intention of leaving. But there’s one thing that’s been making the fandom feel… kinda weird.
Shipping between Countryhumans.
Not just any shipping. But the kind that makes you shake your head in disbelief. Like 'T.R x USSR', 'Russia x USA', 'Ukraine x Russia', 'USA x UK', 'USSR x Russia', and a bunch more. Many of these pairs are actually bitter enemies, or they have complicated relationships like father and son, siblings, rivals—you name it.
And I just can’t help but wonder, ‘Are you even aware of this?’
This is one of the reasons why more people feel uncomfortable staying in the fandom. I get that a lot of people like AUs or ships just for fun, but sometimes there’s a line that needs to be respected—especially when it makes others feel like the fandom is losing its way.
Sorry if my words hurt or come off too blunt. But sometimes we need honesty. Because this fandom used to be full of creativity, a passion for learning history, and love for the characters. And I still want all that to stay alive. ❤️
So please, let’s take care of this fandom in a healthier, more reasonable way, and keep it fun without pushing people away one by one. :)

@Y-AMURO-H I am still kinda new to the fandom and i rather them be shiped with humans and have longer lives then humans to have more drama and thrama but ya i agree with you! Also i'm not leaving and i'm happy that your book made me love this fandom.
