About to upload a new chapter of Sky-Embraced!

I’ve been writing a lot of poetry lately. I noticed that it is easier to express momentary emotions that I have or ideas that I want to share, but there is no concrete way of me doing so. The only way I have found to share these ideas is through poetry. Since I shall be publishing (in physical format) my poetry compilation, I am using Wattpad as a rehearsal for this book. Also, very soon I shall start another poetry compilation titled “Dark Poetry.” This book is heavily influenced by Edgar Allan Poe, H.P. Lovecraft, and even Mark Lawrence’s Broken Empire novels. I must say that I am very excited to post this compilation. It is something different and very attractive for fans of Poe’s “The Raven.”

So, as of now I think I understand what’s wrong with my inspiration to write. It all comes down to the job that I currently have. When I was teaching at Puerto Rico, everything inspired me to grab a pen or my laptop and sit down to vomit the story I had in my mind on a piece of paper. Obviously, there is nothing related to writing in my current job as a soldier. You might differ in the sense of me correlating my job with my fantasy story Sky Embraced, but the truth is that seldom we have the chance to perform warrior-tasks and battle drills. Hence, there is no inspiration to grab from that this type of job.

Now, you may wonder what will I do to ask help from the muses and find the inspiration I seek. Simply I will read more and try to focus my thoughts on the experiences I had back when I was teaching. This way I should be able to trigger those emotions that were so influential in my writing. With this, I announce that my next chapter of Sky Embraced will be uploaded sometime on Wednesday. Thank y’all for reading.

Sometimes you just need a break from creating. You are still absorbing, and the time will come when you're inspired again. I'm going through something similar myself. Best wishes!
