I'm remembering when my childhood friend joked to me one time if I'd ever do my own version of  the book "Crying in H-Mart" but about growing up Japanese American and naming it "Crying in Mitsuwa." It was funny at the time, and I guess he wasn't wrong.

I've written stories before that were fictional, but I have never tried to do one about my own life or in a more structured format. I feel my story is something that many would relate to and find interesting. Even those that are not queer or have a history of mental illness and/or neurodivergence, I think will relate to parts of my story.
