This year, 1434H / 2013, I have returned to reading.
The appetite for fiction had lessened as I grow older now. Too many times I've flipped a page in a novel with wonderful dialogue and prose, and then only to be tainted later with explicit material in the middle of the book. It is as good as eating muffin with some dirt in it. Delicious as it is, it's still dirty, right? With that, and many other challenges in life, I gave up fiction and reading altogether.
However, recently, upon discovering Wattpad, I've found beautiful stories written by Muslims. I've become drawn to reading again! And how wonderful it is now that I'm reading with the Muslim faith. It makes me return to the Al-Quran and Hadith to be reminded again.
So, dear sisters and brothers, boldly recommend me your works! Or, recommend me a story, a book, a Quranic verse, a Hadith or anything else that will remind us of our faith. I am here to read more and more! Of course, in return, I hope my reviews will help you better your craft!
I pray Allah blesses you with skills to write stories or essays that stir a change in us. I pray Allah moves your words to remind everyone gently that Islam weaves the right way of life. I pray Allah inspires you to write only good words for me and other readers. I hope then I will be inspired to write just as good as you.
So write bravely and let's read boldly of only good words that speak of Allah (swt) and Rasul (pbuh).
In Sya' Allah.
Amin.
