          I'm so sad to leave WattPad behind.

URGENT: This is the second time that WattPad has mysteriously lost one of my stories. First it was Captured Cardinal (Thankfully I was able to recover it) but now Firefly Silk is officially lost in the ethos and heartbreakingly cannot be recovered. I normally write my stories from my phone as I live in a place with little internet connection. I will most likely be moving my stories back to deviantart as this is crushing my soul losing my precious works I worked so long to create. Deviantart is not the greatest platform for writers, but I'm running out of options of what to do. Life is hitting me hard lately so I may be on a long hiatus. I was sexually assaulted by my uncle last month and that very night I moved out of the place I lived for the last 12 years of my life. Police and the law are involved and I'm in a safe place at this time. 2 weeks later, my mom was diagnosed with an aggressive rare cancer called Adenocarcinoma of the Pancreas. We've known she's had a mass for a while but she was really sick in September so we couldn't diagnose it back then via biospy until she was physically healthy enough to handle anesthesia. We're now proceeding with an oncologist on the upcoming 22nd. Life is really just total shit right now and I can barely keep up with helping my mom on top of dealing with my assault emotionally and lawfully. It's been really intense and I barely even have enough time to respond to text messages let alone even watch a full youtube video to try and relax. Writing at this point isn't even a blip on the radar so I figured I would update you. My head is spinning with it all. I'm guessing I'll be on a 2 month hiatus at minimum (I've already been quite inactive due to all this for the last month). I will absolutely be back, but in the meantime I'm taking an official break to hammer out the very real issues in my life. Much Love - Rice.

I just want to say that you have a very beautiful writing style. You do a great job at describing what's happening and what the characters are feeling. Rattle the cage is my favorite of yours so far, and i love the way you write in third person, being able to understand all of the characters emotions makes the reading experience even better.

Long time no post, sorry! Life is cray cray! After the holidays I'll be back in the swing of things. Wishing all of you well!

Been AFK for quite a while. My mother had some health issues and I've been battling Bronchitis post-covid. I got sick beginning of January and the coughing never got better. Turns out I got bronchitis secondary to Covid. Been sleeping sitting up for 6 weeks and it's been torture. I've had a strong 6 weeks course of coughing-to-a-6-pack workout. Things are starting to improve but I'm not ready to write just yet. Luckily I'll be house sitting with no Minecraft to keep me busy so I'll be catching up on Rattle the Cage. Captured Cardinal has to wait until I'm back home a month later. Thanks for reading. - Rice.

Updates will be slow this month. I just came down with covid and I'm helping my mom move out of her house and get her into an alcoholic rehab facility. This year isnt going too hot for me.
