@TaytheNerdy and in the movie shadow said he had a dream of Yari and he thought it was a dream but turns out. Shadow's memories of Carri had been erased and his mind is trying to remember her but instead of Carri he sees Yari. So before GUN locked him into stasis they erased Shadow's memory of Carri
