I write stories centered around my original character Yasinel, reimagining Sword Art Online through my own lens. This isn't a rewrite born from hate, but from love-SAO is one of my favorite anime, and like anything meaningful, it left me thinking about what could have gone deeper, what perspectives were missing, and what emotional weight could have been explored further. Through SAO: Rebirth, I insert Yasinel into the world of Aincrad and beyond-not to replace existing characters, but to stand beside them. Yasinel represents an additional viewpoint: the cost of leadership, survival guilt, hidden trauma, and the parts of the story that happen in the shadows. His presence allows me to explore themes the anime touched on but never fully expanded-identity, isolation, mental health, and the long-term consequences of surviving a death game. This project is also my personal response to how overhated SAO can be. Rather than arguing online, I write. I use storytelling to show what I believe could have been improved, expanded, or reframed, while respecting the core of the original series. My goal isn't to "fix" SAO, but to add another perspective-as if I were there too.
