          Since your question could be considered a spoiler for those that have yet to read the book I decided to delete it from my own wall (thus making slightly less likely for a new reader to stumble across it) and repost it on your wall along with a short reply. 
          
          Your question: 
          i have a question about''My Killer' did Michael actually love sophie or was it just the same fucked up thing he did to joy? did he lie to her too about loving her?
          
          My reply: 
          Well, truth be told, you’re going to get an answer right now that there’s a high probability that you won’t find satisfactory. I left the ending as such for a reason, you as a reader get to ponder and explore what the “real” truth is. There are definite similarities between both situations… (Joy and Soph)… which does beg the question, was everything up till that exact point in time(the final chapter) just a very elaborate game or did Michael actually mean the things he said? Did he love her?
          
          Those are questions you get to ponder, that’s sort of the hidden beauty of endings, which would also include the events that lead up to them, that take you for such a stroll… you, as a reader, get the job trying to discern what seems to be truth and what is not. And in truth, you’ll never truly know, just assume. 
          
          Anyways… have a lovely weekend, or rather, what remains of it.
