Ynelle

Hi everyone — my very first announcement here.

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for reading my books. Truly. Whether you’ve been voting, commenting, binge-reading at ungodly hours, or quietly lurking in the shadows like a well-behaved menace, I see you. And I appreciate you more than you know.

I’ve officially published four books on this account, and every single one of them is still very much a work in progress. I’m building worlds, rewriting chaos, restructuring plots, and generally trying to keep my characters from destroying my sanity on a daily basis. But it’s an honourable battle, and I’m glad you’re here for it.

Now I’m curious — which of my books is your current favourite? And which one would you love to see me update more frequently? I will be updating all of them, but I’d love to hear where your hearts (and your impatience) currently lie.

Thank you for every vote, every comment, every scream-in-the-comments moment. You make this journey incredibly rewarding, and I’m grateful to have you here.

Hey doll! I just wanted to give a shout out and let you know that I think your stories are fantastic. You are a great writer. Don’t let the idiots get you down. You have real talent, meanwhile the only thing they excel at is being keyboard warriors and harassing strangers because they didn’t get their way. Try and tune out the noise.
I look forward to reading more of your stories, especially Fiery. I’m so excited to read Ren’s eventual redemption arc. He was a complete idiot for far too long.

I saw your notes in the latest update to Firey and I really wanted to address it outside of the comments in the book itself. I’ll not comb through the comments and the noise that led you to making that statement but rather I’ll leave my thoughts here:

I have got no words to express how you made me feel reading your messages. You made me cry and smile at the same time. It’s so tough out here but people like you are the reason why I keep going. Honestly, thank you so much for this. For taking your time to type all of these and reach out to me. I’ve been so depressed lately and I think I hit writer’s block. But reading this just dragged me out right. You’re so sweet. Ugh. Thank you once again. I’m really happy to have you here.

Do I greatly dislike the “H” at this stage of your story? Undoubtedly. I actively *loathe* him. He and his “best friend” enrage me. That is the beauty you created. You cannot hate a character if you are not fully vested in the story. Surface storytelling evokes zero emotion. That your book brings readers to the point of strong emotion is a testament to your skill as a storyteller. Whether that emotion is good or bad is on them and not a reflection of you.

I, for one, am completely engrossed in this story and its outcome. I have no idea where it will eventually lead. I have no idea which lead the h will choose. I have no idea if anyone will redeem themselves. That is mastery, that is rare, that is precious.

I am committed to this journey. I *want* to know what happens. I *need* to know what happens. I want to throw my tablet at the stupidity of the H because I am fully invested in his character and I think he’s made a series of the worst choices imaginable. I actively *cried* over the thoughts and speech of the h when recalling her marriage over the last two years- actually cried. It was cathartic. The chapter/scene leading to “You are the worst thing that has ever happened to me. You are my nightmare.” was perfection. The “scarecrow lumberjack” scene made me laugh out loud repeatedly. I’ll reread this book, probably annually like all of my favorites.

Please don’t stop writing. Please don’t silence your voice. Please don’t completely rewrite this book because other than a few typos (likely due to autocorrect - like Trace vs Trase) it is already perfect. Please don’t let the negativity of the view ruin the gift you bring to the many.

Your book is magic. Please don’t forget that you are a capable creator of the magic that each of us comes to crave when reading. It is escapism in its purest form - not a textbook or a lecture. If someone is seeking facts and rote then they can find it elsewhere. Please do not let the comments of the cynical few kill the joy that you bring to the silent many. Please.

I am a voracious reader. I devour books by the dozen weekly. I have high expectations and low tolerance for drivel. It is rare and beautiful to come across a book with writing such as yours. Truly. I almost missed this journey as the book is not yet complete and I would be the less for missing it if I had.
