I read on Wikipedia, it is under a corporate now owned by Korean company since may 2021 (no wonder things started to change more since then). Things change for sure when it is sold to a new owner.  unfortunately, this day, many things are business... I guess they have to maintain the app by ads and coins. they need more fund to mantain when an app got bigger.  Not sure what happened BTS but you are right...  for sure it is not the same and less cool now.    Ironically, writers like me - got nothing from writing. sometimes it is overwhelming and struggling, but I love writing and also the readers so I will keep on writing...  (·•᷄‎ࡇ•᷅ )

@Misty4CS I think the person who made Wattpad died and someone took over. Idk for sure. But the old Wattpad had no ads, you could go offline for free and no stupid coins stuff and definitely no premium as well. Now this app is bad.
