So. So. SO. I was meant to update FotW forever ago, and I did mean to, but life really got itself moving over here. I received a mission call recently so I've been caught up in preparing for that. I'll try and post a chapter this month, but come August I'll be MIA for 18 months minimum. So, I'll probably either remove FotW or just put it on an extended hiatus. For any who were reading, I apologize. :/
If anyone is reading FotW I apologize for not getting my chapter out. It'll be out soon. I'm slammed at work and fighting off a cold. I'm sleeping and working. Honestly. That basically it. Sorry again, I'm gonna go sleep now. Cuz I'm sick and tired. And this is poorly worded garbage.
So I've posted "Fly on the Wall"'s prologue. I hope I can stop from being overly critical of my work and not find myself coming to a screeching halt this time around. I'm gonna commit to this version! See where it takes me!
Wow. 2am. Hope I don't regret this after I've slept. Haha
I just can't seem to get the details of my stories right enough to be happy with. I won't be publishing any of my works until I have a solid five chapters that I can STAY happy with.
I'll post SOON. This is more a promise to myself than anyone else at this point, but I hope by voicing it I'll be able to make it happen. Saturday. Maybe Sunday. Possibly Monday, but no later. If I'm later than that I may hate myself... more than I already do.
I want to try and post my second chapter for Fly on the Wall sometime this week. I've been traveling and such recently so it was tough to write. But I've got a good two thousand words in. Next week at latest hopefully.
I'll be posting the first chapter for Fly on the Wall by tomorrow at latest. Not that anyone has read it yet. Or will read it. Haha
I really need to stop trying to control every aspect of my stories and just let them take shape! I'm stifling my own writing putting too much thought into it! I need to write like I'm 12 again: screw quality, just write what feels right!
So. Explanation time. When I last posted it was to say that something had happened and I couldn't write for a while. Well. The incident has past and I'm still not writing. Sorry about that. I'm resolved to soon change this insufficiency.
I started my story "Fly on the Wall" more as a fun little project than a long term investment, but now that I've got a vision for where I want it to go and such I don't like a good deal of what I've written. I will, as such, be re-writing the story from scratch. I'll go through and write the first three chapters as quickly as my perfectionist mind will allow and attempt minimal grammatical errors or typos and then post them all at once so anyone who cares might compare and see which version of "Fly on the Wall" they enjoyed more. I will not be taking down the current version until I've written at least as many chapters for the new version as I had for the old.
I apologize to any who may have been anxiously awaiting a new chapter in frustration.
Sorry for my crappy updating. I hit a block in writing, and then a family emergency stole away any inspiration I might have. I won't be writing for a while. I'll get back to it as quickly as possible.
