After my first breast cancer surgery, I underwent breast reconstruction. Unfortunately, serious complications followed, and I was left with no choice but to have it removed. Before deciding, I reflected deeply and came to a clear realization: I would rather choose my health and inner peace than bow to society’s expectations that a woman must have two breasts to be whole.
Now, I have fully embraced being a little different from what is considered “normal.” And for that difference—I will be forever grateful.
