Maybe she could be going about her day in school and you show just how hard it is to live as a blind person? You could show all the little things we take for granted and how she deals with that. I think that would help develop the character’s lifestyle and personality for the reader which is important for the first few chapters of any book :) maybe there could also be a character introduction of one of her friends? Up to you!
