After the lose of his parents, Tony was left with the butler, Jarvis and the family Friend, Obadiah, as models for his future. 

Along with the grief of the lose of his parents (mostly his mother) tony developed some habits, good and bad

He would do all he could to live up to what his father expected him to be, and he remembered the things his mother had told him. With both his parents teachings, Tony was able to take on the family business

But as any good story, there is always the antagonist, even if he may be in plain sight. Obadiah had input some bad habits into tony, such as over working, smoking and drinking . He tries to get over some of these flaws later, and with the help of jarvis he may be able to
