My name is Rose,

I like to write poems in my spare time. Like most poets, my poems are almost always drawn from my life's experiences. Losing a best friend when I was 17 and also losing my father at the age of 21 has made me realize that writing is a release for me. Writing is one of the best ways to express your thoughts and feelings in a way that at times, you can't express out loud to others. That's been my experience anyway.  So I hope you like them! Most are a bit sad and some are gloomy but hey I'm not all emo!  I have fun too and I love animals! I have a white cat named duchess who I just love so much. So don't be surprised if a few poems pop up about her from time to time. =o) I like old school hip hop and R&B, Romantic Comedies (c'mon, what girl doesn't?) 
Mystery or suspenseful thriller books, thunderstorms, winter and fall, long walks on the beach... You get the picture. 
Well, that's pretty much me in a nutshell.
