i have collected my thoughts after watching jungwon on youngji's show and seeing what everyone had to say online. i gotta say as a jungwon stan, this video truly made realize what a humble and pure hearted person jungwon is, and it made me so happy to hear what jungwon felt because we often don't know what's on his mind.
jungwon truly seems like the type of person who cherishes the people near him and their loyalty, and he is ready to give everything he can to them. he thinks for the group, not for himself, and i honestly don't believe any of his words came from an ill place. to me, jungwon had always seemed like a selfless person, someone who'd sacrifice his own needs for the rest of the members in order for the group to succeed. him saying that he'd never pick a solo career over the group because he thinks jungwon without enhypen doesn't exist is not shade to heeseung in any way. like i said, he cherishes loyalty the most so he'd never want to turn his back to people who he has shared so many moments with because he thinks that if they started this together they should end it together.

two people in the same group can have different visions and dreams. it's valid that heeseung is more solo-oriented, and it's also valid that jungwon chooses to stay with the group because that's what made him who he is today. heeseung is not selfish and the members aren't lame for "picking stability" instead of taking risks, they all just choose what aligned best with them and what they think is right for them. i think what jungwon said about being in a group is truly the right mindset for someone who is supposed to lead, saying that if everyone doesn't think that they made it this far thanks to the group the entire dynamic doesn't work is exactly why enhypen works so well as a team.
i hope his words stop being twisted and misunderstood to fit the narratives people are making, because in the end jungwon was expressing what HE thinks and from what he said i think it was pretty clear that this was in fact heeseung’s choice and people need to accept it. in the end, both enha and evan will continue to move forward towards their goals even if it means leaving people stuck on their points behind. they flipped the page and closed this chapter of their lives, and it's about time we do too.
