I recently found something out. Not sure if it's true but...
Apparently Rowling was going to write Deamus into the story of Harry Potter but she thought it wouldn't affect the story enough so she left it out!!!
WHY Rowling WHY?!?
If you want to write the Deamus in, write the Deamus in!!!
It's just what I heard, sorry if I'm wrong. Still, if I am wrong, she should've written Deamus in either way.
Seriously, she could've just put them together on the platform with one child between them or something in the last chapter. Doesn't draw away from the story. It just ties up se loose ends....

@isthegoodplacereal well as my cousin used to say "If you get to talk to people that you adore, your bound have at least a shard of joy." And how I found out I'm pan was because I found both girls and boys very pretty\handsome and I don't care if I get a boyfriend or a girlfriend.
