I discovered WattPad through some members over at NaNoWriMo - I enjoy writing as a hobby but I also like to share my stories with others that are interested. I've never really considered publishing because it doesn't appeal to me.

I tend to write mainstream novels and I try to ensure that all my characters are ones the reader can relate to and like they know the character as I feel that gives a deeper insight to the story and lives of those within the story.

However, I will read pretty much any type of story but I don't like novels with tons of long chapters. A mixture of long, average and short are fine. Basically, I like a book that captures my interest and makes it hard to put down but at the same time the chapters are reasonable enough to be able to feel I can stop at the end of Chapter x when I need.
