so with east there is no real connection of his emotions to Ariana he’s meant to be a complex character you never know what version of him you’ll get. East emotions reflect his true feelings he simply just doesn’t care lol ik it’s sad but he grew up in a stable home most his life with a mentally ill mother so he knows what depression can cause first hand. East dad left because he couldn’t endure the mental toll she took on him like Ski said he was never meant for the streets but yet he found comfort in AK he raised him into a “man” when his father walked away even though they were close in age. East took on his mothers and sisters emotions after their dad walked away so it made him dive deeper in the streets he used it to invest in his music which was his outlet. He ain’t have someone to vent and grieve his dad leaving cause he was always repairing other people. When Tey was shot it was his breaking point like his mama said he changed but imagine your father leaving no reason knowing you was their only stable parent he carried the income and left them with her. He had to pick that slack up and in that lifestyle emotions don’t exist that’s why everybody notice Ski change because he was the same as East. The one time he needed his mama the most they fought and he ended up with a gun in his mouth after he left with his dad he never looked back so it was sorta like that was his shut down moment. He only have loved broken people his entire life. Ariana wasn’t broken she was the complete opposite his nervous systems don’t understand peace so he causes chaos to balance. When he spoils her that’s really who he is but the version of him that’s cut off is also him to. He doesn’t know how to let one exist without the other so he’s always guarded if that make sense.

@ZDH172016 okay so when you’ve been in survival mode your whole life because even before it was the streets it was his own mother it makes safety feels unsafe he can’t understand his emotions for ariana yet but his nerves has already decided she was home that’s y from the first night they easily clicked. Sometimes your brain and body know things before you do so it’s becoming a complex thing. He enjoys sex with her and he like who she is as a person but he never has spoken on commitment since day 1 he let it be known he didn’t want to pursue that now that Yosohn is in the picture it rewired his whole connection with her and he doesn’t wanna settle for her cause of a kid when one day he might decide he want commitment and his soul mate is someone else if that make sense. & actually is the opposite lol Ariana has already endure the trauma he knows what come next the mood swings the depression the anger the hurt and he’s aware it can be loose at this
            moment only Ski has witnessed her meltdowns East doesn’t want to see that moment hit that’s why he so distant rn he saw her and his mama clash so he know she’s capable of more and she just took a life that changes a person and with him not having the ability to reflect the emotions and care she need rn he just stays away. It’s a mental strain caring about other people especially if it’s more than self he did it for decades to the point where he learned self comes first so he rather ignore the issues at hand and move on cause it’s less pressure to make the wrong moves

@ZDH172016 yes girl literally he plays the role because he feels obligated to his daddy always was there until he couldn’t take his mama mental health but even for that east blames his mama so to him his dad was always the chosen parent and he want yosohn yo have that figure also but as far as the image he never wanted it he didn’t want to be a dad a boyfriend a family man at all honestly he lived a fast life and just at the peak of his career he accepted it but he never made peace with it fr and after the ak situation he feels in debt to her cause she was tangled up in they beef
