Tip for Improving Your Writing - Read.
No, seriously. READ. Stephen King said, "If you don't have time to read, you don't have the time (or the tools) to write. Simple as that." Writing without reading something is like trying to run on fumes. Reading helps familiarize you with different authors' styles, improves your vocabulary, and gives you an sense of what is currently popular (and allows you to do something different). Start small if you have to. Read something you like. Then read something by a new author. Read classic short stories. Read plays. Read comic books if you have nothing else lying around. If you're in the Precure/Glitter Force fandom, I can send you short stories from Pierrot/commedia dell'arte lore if you send me a message. Just start reading.
