Quick Note Before You Read
I’m not here to act perfect, preach down, or shove this in your face. I struggle too. This is just me sharing a verse and what I’ve learned. Take it or leave it, it’s your choice. But if you stick around, I pray it speaks to you. It doesn't matter if you leave Jesus still loves you
---
Matthew 7:1 — “Do not judge others, and you will not be judged.”
Classic verse. But today? It’s either weaponized, skipped, or completely twisted. So… what does Jesus actually mean?
At first glance, it sounds like: “Don’t judge me, I can do whatever I want.” Wrong. Let’s keep reading.
Matthew 7:3–5 says: “Why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? Hypocrite! First remove the log from your own eye; then you will see clearly to deal with the speck in your friend’s.”
There’s the point. It’s not saying “ignore sin.” It’s saying: don’t be a hypocrite. You can’t call out someone for lying if you lie all the time. You can’t roast someone for swearing if you swear just as much. That’s not correction—that’s hypocrisy.
So what do we do? Stay quiet? Nope. That’s like watching your friend run off a cliff. Real love warns. But there’s a difference between judging and calling out.
Judging = pretending you’re God, condemning someone’s soul.
Calling out = waving a stop sign before the crash.
Here’s why this matters: every sin is like swiping a credit card. Feels easy now, but eventually the bill comes. And one day, you will stand before God and explain yourself. Not in fancy words. Not in excuses. Every word. Every thought. Every secret. Every action. Everything. No hiding. No skipping. Full exposure before a holy God.
That’s why this verse hits so deep. Don’t weaponize Scripture. Don’t act like the Judge. But don’t stay silent either. Hypocrisy destroys, but honest love can save.
That's all I gotta say. Remember. Drink your emotional support juice (water), repent, and remember: Jesus loves you.
