Hello there.
We had a look at your work, and yes, like you suggested in your comment on our review page, it was quite an original piece of work. But however, we cannot help but feel that your story still sort of revolves around ‘an unpopular girl (even though she doesn’t go to school, she is homeless, giving her the element of being unpopular) somehow bumping into a gorgeous guy.
Now, in saying so, we are ever so relieved that she did not fall head over heels for him. We’ve seen a couple of ridiculous stories, where as soon as the girl sees the boy, she drools.
Now for some constructive feedback.
- If you are going to continue this story (and we hope you do. :), try to avoid things like ‘the girl’s parent’s abused her and she ran away from home’, or any of that parental issues. Young author’s on this site are as about as creative as that. Full stop. As soon as there is an issue, they throw it towards the parents. It’s either the parents are abusive, or some other reason.
- Introduce some twists into the story. Readers, (especially us) love to be surprised by the author – it’s what makes the story so good. It requires careful planning of the plot, mind you, but you’ll get there in time, and your work will be paid off. Some stories on this site make us want to claw our eyes out at the unoriginality of the plot.
We hope this has helped. :)
Regards,
