@Zar_Sin sure. The pros are that its a decent paying job in which you're also helping people. In my mind that was what made me want to do it. I always knew I wanted to be a career woman, I figured I might as well help others while making something of myself. The cons as you can guess are that there is a lot of work. But honestly, if you're going to do something well you have to put in the hours.
I've seen fashion designers and teachers work 80 hours a week too.
And its not always so busy. Medical school is relatively easier in the first 2 years. Then years 3-4 are busy. Residency for 3-4 years is busy but after that you can choose your hours.
You can also have a full family life and still be a doctor, but you do need a supportive spouse and family. All the female physicians I know have kids that are thriving.
Its definitely a commitment and something to really think through, but in the end its a very fulfilling career. But I am also biased...haha!
