hey everyone
So I wrote this one poem
DO share how u like it:-
"In the Mirror’s Shadow"
They say being skinny is
beauty standard,
Yet every time I step into the world,
"You're too skinny," they murmur—
Friends, family, even strangers.
In the mirror’s gaze, disgust rises,
My own reflection a source of pain.
Slowly, I began to hide,
Beneath oversized sweatshirts,
My insecurities cocooned in fabric.
I ate beyond hunger’s call,
Ignored the signals my body sent,
Fell sick from trying to change,
Yet the weight never came.
Still, each glance in the mirror whispers,
"Why am I so skinny?"
They say body shaming is wrong,
But it seems only when the body isn’t thin.
