Hello, my beautiful little gremlins, cryptids, monster-lovers and emotionally compromised degenerates.

I'm still alive! Perhaps against all odds.

Still kicking. Still writing. Still being dragged bodily through the year like a Victorian prisoner tied to the back of a carriage, but with more caffeine, more feathers, and considerably more questionable fictional men(hot).

At the moment, I have my co-author over for another visit, which means the house is full of writing, plotting, bad ideas, worse ideas, and the kind of conversations that would get us both put on several watchlists if overheard without context.

          	It's -fine- okay. Totally.

I am also currently in the height of rearing season, and this year has taken me by the throat, looked me lovingly in the eyes, and said: "Survive this, bitch."

So far, I have been through two owls, four frogmouths, four parrots, and one kookaburra. And I have been told they look like sentient breadmold.

Between tiny murder muppets, nocturnal judgment potatoes, screaming feathered demons, my co-author being here, and the dark romantasy project swallowing my brain whole, things have been busy. Gloriously busy. Horrifically busy?

          	I don't frekaing know.

As for Tangled Strands, I know. I know. My spider children have been waiting. It is not abandoned. It has never been abandoned. The plan right now is to update Tangled Strands in August, once I have the time and brainspace to give it the attention it deserves. I need my hot spider boi and nerdy biology bitch too.

And, new MerMay short story. YES it's June. No, I will not be taking questions from the court at this time, because apparently I do what I want and time is a fake little construct invented to shame writers.

          	And LAST but not least...
          	There is something big coming.

A proper surprise. A “we have been sitting on this like two dragons with a secret egg” kind of surprise. We are very excited, very nervous, and very much vibrating like two raccoons in a trench coat.

          	WOO!

Hello my fellow degenerates!

This one's a short one; I just wanted to wish you all a happy holidays and tell you, quite so, that... The next chapter is almost ready and I plan to get it out to your greedy little eyes and thirsty hearts before New Years.

G'day my darling degenerates...

It’s been a minute, hasn’t it? I know, I know—you’ve missed me terribly. But don’t fret, I haven’t abandoned you in the dark for no reason at all. Reality, that dreadful little creature, decided to demand my attention.

But not with something entirely unpleasant this time, no. Something far more enchanting, really!

You see, when I’m not weaving stories and tempting you with words, I’m surrounded by far more tangible beasts. And lately? I’ve been playing caretaker to a rather demanding little soul—an owlet with a penchant for dramatics and a daring brush with pneumonia.

But fear not my dears! The tiny terror is back on its talons, raising hell and growing rapidly as it clumsily explores my home.

Now, for the better news I'm sure: stars be kind and muses willing, you can expect the next chapter of Unbroken to hit your screens tonight

So, pour yourself something sinful, settle in and wait for me, won’t you?

After all... I do so enjoy keeping you on the edge.

          - Z

@gabi-bohy So happy to have people like yourself here! I've been on a recent (probably well deserved, somewhere) vacation with family to Paris. I'm not even ashamed to say I still kept up the ritual of sitting up suddenly just to reach for my nearest notepad or the phone to write a paragraph down.

Hello my dear, darling degenerates!

I apologize for the recent silence but fret not! Yours truly is once again working full throttle. The flu took me for quite a spin, followed by another 'delightful' tango with an old flame; covid. But I'm a stubborn lady. Even if that stubborn lady has been confined for about a month to her couch, drowning herself in tea and old wives remedies aplenty.

Updates are coming, but slowly! Life tugs at my hem and work claws at my spine, but even so! Believe you me when I tell you that something new is coming along as well. I may have my own projects, but this one? My dears! This one I'm crafting alongside the finest, fiercest co-author a siren could ever dream of dancing with.

You’ll see soon enough, my darlings.

For now however, thank you for your comments, your votes and your affection. To see my little fanfiction project and my own original work gather an interest like they do? It's been nothing short of euphoria, a honeyed serotonin drip directly into this chaos-clad creature that is me.

          Until the next chapter,
Keep sinning sweetly, my little stars.
