Merry Christmas Eve Eve to those who celebrate.
          
          With the end of the month quickly approaching, I wanted to inform those interested about the plan for Contentions:
          
          • I've decided that the book will be a three-book series instead of a stand-alone novel. The first draft is one-third of the way finished and quickly approaching 50,000 words, and I can easily double that through the second. That means I can find enough content to cover three books. However, I will have to do some significant tweaking in the second and third drafts to make the story stand alone for each novel.
          
          • The first book should still be "completed" by the end of the month. However, this does not mean I'm done with it, as I will review my second and third drafts by the end of January. At that point, I intend to look into publishing options while sketching the Book 2 outline. Contentions will remain free to read on Wattpad, Inkitt, and RoyalRoad until these options are explored.
          
          • Please give me heavy feedback between the book's planned finishing date, December 31, and the scheduled manuscript rewrite date, January 31. I know my following on Wattpad is not that high, but I don't mind putting my work out there for free during this period because I need to know what is essential to you as a reader. Do plot points not make sense? Do things about the characters irritate you? Do a few chapters bore you to the point of not wanting to read anymore? These are the things I need to know so I can make a compelling manuscript.
          
          I want to thank you for the increase in viewership and interactivity this past month. I'm happy to see that it has become interesting and visible, and I hope this will continue as we finish the book. Thank you all for your help in this process.

Good Monday morning!
          
          I wanted to update you and say I know and am aware I am behind on updating. I'm American, and we had a holiday this week that put me behind. I did rewrite Chapters 1 - 4 of Contentions over the break, so if you haven't checked out the second drafts of those, please do so. They have some major changes integrated.
          
          I'm planning on continuing my rewrite since I've got it written through Chapter 9, but I want to make sure the plot aligns well with the rewrites. Again, I want to reiterate that I only do third drafts AFTER the completed manuscript, so if you're worried about more rewrites, don't be. You shouldn't see any more second drafts until about chapter 20 because I like reviewing my work every ten chapters or so.

          I want to add a brief update for those recently checking out my work.
          
          Contentions is the #1 priority right now. It will be updated frequently until the end of the year, and you should get a new chapter every morning at 9:30 a.m. CST. So please check back often if you're enjoying it.
          
          After that, you'll see me rewriting and bringing my works from other sites here.
          
          And just as a general rule of thumb, anything with art is on a second draft. Anything without is on a first. I only do third drafts after the entire story is finished. So, if the story is ongoing, it's either on a first or second draft. This is when I need your feedback. Please give feedback whenever possible, even if it's just to tear it apart because honest feedback helps me to create perfect third drafts!
