Sometimes I love days like this. No! scratch that, I love days like this. Woke up at 8 and snoozed on the couch because the kids were still asleep. Sometimes the second snooze is so much better than the first, what the hell it's a Sunday! Woke up soon afterwards to my oldest playing minecraft and get wafted awake by those warm, blocky tunes that I could listen to forever.
The toddlers were finally awake and were singing for bananas, so I got them bananas and oranges too. Vitamin C is so important for those growing bodies. Then we were off for a day at the park, but which park? Since moving here we've been to two, but there are four. We chose a new one and set up the company at one of the picnic tables near a creek that cut the rolling land in two.
Sometimes I think there are days that are slow for making memories. I'm not sure if the little guys will remember this day, but I know I will and that's what makes it worth the whole pot. How gratifying it is to share a special day, and create a mark in the memories around you.
Don't forget to hug the people you love, because you never know how much time you have left to create a memory.
