The next batch of Gal chapters is gonna take over a couple more weeks from now to come out. These chapters weren't as fleshed out as the ones I've posted so far, so they needed a lot of work.
I have enough technically ready to go right now, but I want to run them through the queue in my critique partner group, which will take a couple weeks. Not to mention the revisions I might need to do after that, which might be a few days. So I expect the next batch will be out mid July.
But I have been considering finishing that one video essay about trauma featuring long segments about Kung Fu Panda, Vinland Saga, and Vagabond. I might get to finish that before these chapters are ready. I'll be posting updates about that.
The upcoming chapters show Gal gathering the rest of her team for the mission, Morgan passing judgement onto the man who killed Gal, and Lady Arjona addressing the people of Tatanka City.

Also, my TikTok has been doing pretty well and I've been having fun making videos related to writing over there. https://www.tiktok.com/@zealotpara

New Gal chapters are out! Find out what decision Gal makes, when she's presented with the opportunity to return the Lock Crown to the living world. See what became of Garten, the man who tried to kill Princess January. And meet Lady Eden Arjona of the high spirit council and General Carl Fitzgerald of the spirit army, and their complicated relationship.

Aaaaand after a recording session of almost three hours, chapters 9-14 have been recorded for the next audiobook!
I don't know how I had the energy to do all that, but it feels good. I'm not sure if all of those chapters are going to be in the same upload, but if I do need to split it in half or something, I'll probably just post both halves on the same day. Now time for the longest part, the editing.
Next time, look forward to meeting Lady Eden Arjona of the high spirit council, General Carl Fitzgerald of the spirit army, and seeing what became of Garten, the sorcerer who almost killed Princess January.

Good news! Gal the Ghost Princess chapters 6-8 are good to drop this saturday! I just finished editing the audiobook.
Look forward to seeing what the Star Nation is like, the people and magical creatures who live there, and the conniving opposition in the senate Queen Morgan must face in the living world.

Made some huge progress on Gal the Ghost Princess today.
Before this next batch of chapters, I wanted to rewrite chapter 8 which was looking to be tough because it's in Morgan's pov and there was a TON of setting up I needed to do there and I wanted to do it right.
But today I spent a lot of time on it and I'm very happy with the rewrites. The next batch of chapters might be dropping this week after all! I just need to finish the ending of chapter 8, voice over it, edit it down and we're good to go!
I'll post an update if I'm not able to make it though.

Just finished recording chapter six for the next Gal the Ghost Princess audiobook!
This chapter alone was such a challenge because it has a range of emotions from confusion, curiosity, wonder, horror, humor, bewilderment, and other fun words that describe emotions.
I'm actually aiming for having this next batch of chapters out before the end of next week. My health is going to determine whether or not I'm going to be able to make that happen, and I'm still not sure how many chapters I want to include this time, so I might not get to meet that deadline.

If anyone's wondering about upload schedules, tl;dr I'm shooting for 1-2 chapters bi-weekly, and at worst 3-4 a month. But whatever I do, it will always be more than one chapter at a time.
I mostly have a "it's done when it's done" mindset, but the point of me posting my story for free is expressly for receiving feedback for possible future adaptations, so I'm not going to wait TOO long before dropping new chapters. The thing holding me back from super frequent and possibly weekly drops is I always put my chapters through the queue with my critique partners first, which takes a week.
I also record audiobooks for accessibility for readers to coincide with every chapter drop, which take some time as well. https://youtu.be/sh4su0aEZKE?si=Hqi6UDK7-_S0OBj1
And on top of all of that, I'm disabled which makes doing most anything way harder than it should for a young man my age. But just know that I'm super passionate about writing, and as long as I'm not burnt out I'm going to be working on Gal the Ghost Princess!
