Hello to anyone who is reading this. I just want to thank all those who have taken a chance to read my story so far. I really appreciate it, it really motivates me to keep posting. If you have any advice on how I could improve the reading experience for you, please don't hesitate to drop me a comment.
The story I am currently posting is part of a trilogy, which has been written in its entirety, however it still requires a great deal of editing and therefore a lot of work. I suppose the benefit of being bedridden with mecfs is I have a lot of time, but not a great deal of energy.
It is not exactly a conventional cats story. I suppose you could read it as an AU of sorts. Not exactly my personal take on cats, merely an idea that started out as a daydream, which has slowly evolved over the thirty years that I have been fixated on the musical Cats; and in particular, a certain silver tabby.
I would imagine him sitting down in front of me, staring right at me, as cats do, and saying, "Zen. Please, I am begging you. Write my story. It is time that somebody told it."
And every time I feel like giving up, he plonks himself down in front of me again and looks at me disapprovingly, and repeats the same thing. "Write my story. I'm counting on you!"
Maybe I am crazy, I don't know. But that is what has kept me motivated over the two years that I have been working on this project.
I also intentionally wrote the story so that readers outside of the cat's fandom might enjoy it too. I mean, if you love cats, you're going to love this story.
