On April 4, 2025, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile strike (presumably an Iskander-M with a cluster warhead) on a residential neighborhood in Kryvyi Rih, hitting a children's playground. As a result of the tragedy, approximately 19–20 people were killed, including children, and more than 50 civilians were injured.
