Feeling sheepish. While writing the next chapter for "Open War", I realized my math from the previous chapter is WAY off. Oops. So, the next chapter will be a bit delayed while I edit the last one to fix my errors. Nothing in the overall plot will change, just the timing.
Basically, the flight time from Vancouver to Ohio should have taken 6-7 hours. Not 12-13. Bad Zach.

Oh, the background images came from Adobe Stock Photos (stock.adobe.com) - they're offering a free one month trial for 10 image licenses with TONS of options. It didn't take me long at all to find really high quality images for all three books!
Side note: The background on the left side of "The Unveiling" is an actual photo of Harvard's campus :D
Sorry for the delay on chapter 18. A little insight behind the curtain here: This was actually where I originally planned to end "The Unveiling". With the... you guessed it... "unveiling" of magic to the world. As I was writing, I realized this felt like an extremely awkward place to stop, so I had to do some planning for the next bit of the story. Now there's a LOT more I want to cover before the end of Book 1. So please stay tuned, and I hope you continue enjoying Modern Magic!
Hi fan(s?), sorry for the delay on The Unveiling. I'm sure it's not a spoiler to say that a fairly complicated fight scene is coming up, and I'm really working on trying to get the right feel. It will not be the next chapter, but it's coming soon, so I've been thinking a little ahead. I hope to have the next chapter out soon, leading up to what I hope comes across as a really cool sequence of events! So, please forgive the delays, and thank you for reading!
Modern Magic prologue rereleased. Now as part of Book 1 - The Unveiling. I've made some additions and modifications, but more importantly, the story is actually happening! Chapter will is expected to be up in 1-2 days (depending on editing).

I'm almost tempted to mark this date on my calendar as I jump for joy. I just got my first vote on a story and my first fan. So... I guess pretty much only that fan will be seeing this, but I'm still happy about it! Hello fan, I'm glad you enjoy the story so far.
