Another big reason was a recent one, one that had convinced me to go with this desicion eventually. At the time of writing this, I had just watched the very first anime created by a youtuber. I don't think I need to mention who he is, as he's already as popular as he can be right now, but I really have respect for him for introducing an entirely different method on how the isekai genre can be emulated in this day and age. I won't spoil what happens in that one video, but it has inspired me to take a different direction in what I should write for the world that I myself is trying to create right now.

Honestly, I wish I had the time to think through and flesh out the world that this story is going to be set in. Even with everything that's been happening to me for the past few years, I would never want to give up writing, even if my works won't reach an audience. At least there'll always be a chance of some wanderer in Wattpad who can always read through everything that my mind can still offer.

I realize that I've written too much, but to anyone who's willingly taken up the time to read this, all I can say as a very small writer is that, thanks so very much. I'll strive to keep writing, whether it's for myself or the complete strangers that I will never be aware of.

Alterkerra, as a concept, is still very much in its alpha testing stages. Its synopsis basically wraps up the overarching premise of what the story will align by, and at the time, posting out the prologue (and more recently, Chapter 1) was a great way to test out the waters on how the plot should start off.

I'll now get straight to the point: Alterkerra needs a full reboot of its plot. This would mean that I will soon remove both chapters and rewrite the prologue from the very beginning.

You might be asking, why would I do that? I'll try to keep things short on the reason, which is that the approach that I was taking to start off the plot was starting to feel wrong. I didn't think it would strike readers as interesting if they went through what I would call as the bottom-up approach to storytelling. It just wasn't going to make the story compelling in the long run.

To anyone who's still a follower of mine,

To any reader in Wattpad who comes across my work,

To the me in the future who might read this again,

Hi. As you can see, I'm a victim of what is known as 'the passage of time'. I'm sure that many of you are, as well, struggling with a whole load of changes in your lives for the past few years.

Compared to the time that I started to write The Survival Logs as an avid Sword Art Online fan around 7 or 8 years ago, the me right now is a constantly broken guy who has to face the reality of being an adult. Life in university was, honestly, not what I had envisioned, but that's beside the point that I'm trying to make here.

Around maybe 3 years ago, the time that I could spare to write was slowly dwindling. That didn't mean I would stop completely, as I tried to find pockets of time to keep writing The Survival Logs with whatever creative juices I had in store. Right now, with even less free time on my hands, my motivation to continue writing the Survival Logs is even more in danger, though there's still a chance I would find that spark to continue my precious fanfic. It was my first story that, although set in that very same castle of Aincrad, aimed to tell an entirely different journey from the eyes of an entirely original cast of characters. I loved that kind of creativity, even when Kirito and Asuna started to become involved in the plot.

But The Survival Logs isn't the reason why I'm making this message that probably won't be read by many people (I do apologize in advance for the long announcement). Around that same time, I was slowly developing the idea of an entirely original story that, of course, wouldn't be a fanfic. If you're a reader of mine, you would know this other story that I'm talking about.

ANNOUNCEMENT: I have edited a few chapters (53, 54, 57, 58) to reflect the over-arching background plot of the PK Pandemonia Arc. Originally, the frontline was supposed to be the 55th Floor, but after much thought, I decided to change it to the 63rd Floor, due to this arc happening in sync with another SAO fanfic (Her Mission To Save Them All) in which the author is fine with me tying both plots together (once again, thank you FourEyedSpectacle for allowing me to borrow ur OCs for this story arc that is currently the longest arc of the series). That being said, the main plots of this story arc will NOT be affected still.

This will be my first announcement since my writing of The Survival Logs (recently merged and renamed from Game of Survival and Chronicles of Survival), so yea its not much since I dun even know how small my reader base is umu

But yea it's juz to say that I removed Chronicles of Survival and added it's chapters to Game of Survival, before renaming the whole thing to The Survival Logs. Seems like a reboot, but it's not. I'll be updating chapters in that story from now on, so to those who were reading Chronicles of Survival, sorry about that! Those chapters are now in The Survival Logs, so please continue enjoying my series from there.

I know I don't have much of a reader base here, but if you guys think that my series is worth reading, please share it with other people. SAO fans or not, all are welcome to dive into this unique story!

Welp, I mean......it starts having non-canon content only from chapter 5 onwards, but that was written by the me from a year ago, so blame that me.

Anyways, hope you guys have a great read ahead!
