I've been reading Spanish stories on Wattpad and let me tell you how difficult it is to comment anything. I usually either just lurk around in the background, then try to emulate the lingo of whatever the dominant Latin American country reigns in the comments (Mostly Mexico, although Colombia and Chile are also strong), or I try to be as international as possible. Why? Because traditional Puerto Rican lingo is very weird and a mess of different languages, and so far only Cubans and Dominicans actually understand what we are talking about since we were "cut from the same cloth" as the saying goes. Mostly I've gotten confused questions in the past ("What does *insert word/phrase here* mean?"), then there's words that in other Spanish speaking countries are swear words and vice versa (bicho means insect in most countries, in PR it means penis, for example, so when someone calls you a "mamabicho" they're calling you a cocksucker. You see how that insult would not work in another country). I don't want to offend anybody by accident
So my question is: If I were to write a story in Spanish, in my PR Spanish, do you think you would be able to read and understand it?
