          Darkness Wears Her Crown has now been released! I'll be updating weekly on Fridays at 10 am EST. This is an exciting story for me, especially in the latter half; if you remember Poisoned Purity, DWHC is a direct (mostly) adaptation from that, and that book got absolutely insane near the end.           I'm also hoping to return to Wattpad in a reading sense this year. I have my extremely small selection of books that I keep up with (and even then I fall behind...), but it's part of my resolution to read more, and what better way to do that than through Wattpad? I've found that reading on Wattpad while walking on a treadmill can be very disorienting but also fun lol. So, if you see me in your comment section, give me a wave! o/

I have a quick update regarding the publication of Darkness Wears Her Crown--I've decided my official posting date will be JANUARY 3rd, barring any unexpected circumstances. This was already announced on my Instagram (@ZoeAlamort, you should def follow, it's definitely not dead and I'm one follower away from 100 lol) and I'll be doing a few other fun things on my Insta, like a blurb and cover reveal, in the days leading up to publication! Super stoked :-)

I like your profile and I’ve been seeing your comments in books and some of them make me laugh 

Hello guys! Zoe (formerly @Aptionia) here after a year long leave. I’ve graduated college a year early, started volunteering at an animal shelter, and have been doing an insane amount of writing while nurturing my Discord/Wattpad communities. I’ve also officially been published with a short story, and I have another that will be published in 2025. I’ve still been lurking on Wattpad in some capacity, reading a very limited selection of books, but I’m officially announcing my (semi) return. My querying journey is still ongoing. The book (These Poisoned Souls), which was originally on Wattpad, received a fair amount of agent interest, but I ended up pulling it from querying because I don’t feel it represents my best work. I’ll be querying a new book I feel is much stronger after the new year. It’s already gotten agent + publisher interest, so I’m feeling confident about it. :-)
          
          But what does this mean? It means I’ll be posting These Poisoned Hearts/Souls (it will be renamed to Darkness Wears Her Crown) on Wattpad sometime in December. I plan to lengthen it considerably so that it’s the book I imagined it being. The soft word count limit for traditional publishing limited the book, and I’m excited to be able to tell the story the exact way I want to. That, paired with the slightly basic plot line, means I’m happy to post it on here for free and potentially self-publish it in the future under my pen name. I’ll post more updates as it gets closer, but I’m planning to post around Christmas time so it can be a Christmas present for the algorithm and for me.
          
          I definitely won’t be returning in full capacity and pumping out stories like I used to; I expect that DWHC will be the only story I post unless I’m writing something for fun. That doesn’t mean I won’t be present in the community, though!
