Do any of you read science fiction? I've always enjoyed sci-fi movies and sometimes read sci-fi books. But lately I've been toying with an sci-fi story idea. It's been rolling around in my head for months. Given my year-long struggle writers block, I wasn't sure if I should start yet another story that I might not finish. But, you know, sometimes you just can't tell what that thing might be that will dislodge that block. So I'm giving it a go! I'm not posting it here (at least not yet) because I want to first see if I can finish the thing. In case you're curious, it's about a team of experts sent by a corporation to an uninhabited planet to study the plants there. Things start happening, and it's unclear if the corporation might be behind it. At first it seemed like a scifi/horror story, but that's just not my writing style, so I chanced it to a cozy science fiction story, with more emphasis on the team dynamics and mystery. I'm still in early stages, but at least I'm writing again! It's good to be back in action.

"I also worry about conditions such as muscular atrophy on low gravity, diseases, and the atmospheric pressure of a planet... I tend to over think these things," Hailey adds.

@M0N0L0GUE Cool! I think it would be so awesome to go into space one day. (And then watch me get motion sick from the experience, haha.)

@PyroTank Very good point! A specification of "uninhabited by humans" is in order.
