@ZonderZorg Oh, I'm sure I could! Alas, I do love the paranormal. If you're not my prime audience, that's quite alright! Frankly, it's just nice to have stumbled across someone who I might have a few things in common.
Though...if I might offer one wee thing in my paranormal-writing defense: I appreciate magical realism, and I'm fascinated by the history of magic. Folk magic traditions are quite real, alchemy was chemistry and the occult blatantly rolled together, Sir Isaac Newton himself actually wrote a book ON the occult, Jack Parsons was an acolyte of Aleister Crowely, and you can find many a legit legal document from the height of Scotland's witch hunting genocide that earnestly describes magical familiars. So...yes. Is the paranormal and the fantastical ridiculous to many degrees? Absolutely. But I like to think that I might come at it from a very different approach than most. For example: the magic in my story is directly inspired by Braucherei (Penn Dutch folk magic) - and there still a few Braucher rattling around who practice it.
So, take that as you will! I'm still happy to have crossed paths with you, anyway!
