Hi! First of all, sorry for the delay in replying!!! I was (and still am) on a short trip. To be honest, I don’t think love can really be generalized into a single idea. Everyone experiences and perceives it differently. For example, for me, love might be something that makes me feel safe, while for someone else it could mean passion, comfort, or even sacrifice.
In my story, I chose to portray love as a kind of protective feeling you know, that instinct to care for someone in a way you don’t for others. Even though the pair is going through a rough period, they know deep down that they’ve got each other. It’s not the typical one-sided love where only one person falls hard; it’s more of an “all-in” connection on both sides, though they’re still in denial about it.
That’s also why I titled it Handlebars, in reference to Jennie’s lyrics. If you listen to the song, maybe you’ll catch the parallel I was trying to draw.
Please don’t feel the need to apologize or think it’s a rude question! Honestly, I really enjoy interacting with you all, so no worries at all. Looking forward to seeing you again soon, take care! ❤️❤️
