I have a suggestion. When Zuko can't find Katara, he thinks she ran off to find the Avatar. Of course, he'll be angry but mostly sad. When he and Iroh (did I spell that right) are ready to go, something caught his eye. Then he can cut to the part with Katara in her cell to let the audience think that Zuko has even up. You can add in whatever you want there but please don't let her be raped. OK back to Zuko. What caught his eye was Katara's necklace in the hands of one of Chang's men. Knowing that Katara would NEVER leave without it, he hid and grabbed the man with the necklace to interagate. That's how he finds out where Katara is but that's all I got so far.
