y'know the song 'Meteor Shower' by Cavetown? well... i love my bestie (platonically, i mean) so when i was listening to the song i realized how it applied to my bestie for me. like... that one like 'i'd sell my own bones for sapphire stones, 'cause blue is your favorite color' hit me hard. i was like... for real though. i'd do anything to see her smile<3 she's one of the main reasons i'm alive. and when she hurts, i hurt. i want to see her happy, and if she asked me to leave, i'd do it. if she asked me to do something horrible, i'd consider it. i wouldn't do it, because... yeah. cause she's no SUNNY and i'm no BASIL, but yk... it's the thought behind it that counts.

the Bubonic Plague still being around is actually so fascinating. like... the only way around this is killing all the rats in one place. and if you survive the plague, you could have permanent damage from it. like bubos on your neck could forever cause your head to tilt to the side a bit. that's actually horrifying. and Yersina Pestis, the problem causing it all... it was believed to be the fleas for a time or the rats. it was also believed to be from the air. and the fact that Black Death was the cause of three variants (Bubonic having had a 60% chance of death, the Pneumonia variant having a 94% chance of death, and the Great Mortality - i think it was called - having a 100% chance of death). why was Black Death so much more deadly than the Plague of Justinian? how is the Bubonic Plague situation? do people recognize Bubonic Plague to be Black Death/Plague of Justinian or is it easier to ignore that? i find it hard to ignore. but that's just me.

how tf did King Justinian i survive the Plague of Justinian and also why th would he pass it off to his nephew Justin, who ended up ruining everything Justinian i did. King Justinian ii (or King Justin) was a fucking idiot lmao

the Black Death is actually so interesting, and it's so unclear at parts... like why were there no reports of rats (of any kind, black rats or their cousins) in England throughout the time? would the Black Death still have spread had there not been any fight? and there were three known variants, so how were they recognized? the Great Mortality variant was known to be completely fatal, how was it contracted? why were so many people so sure that God was the cause, so much so that they ended up literally beating themself to death? why was Black Death so deadly when the Plague of Justinian was caused by the same bacteria? and the Bubonic variant, is there any way to permanently eradicate it other than exterminating all the rats? why are the fleas so stuck on rats but also willing to take other victims? if there is an answer to those questions... i want to know.

because there is currently over 7 billion people in the world, 'one in a million' over the whole world is referring to about 70 people, which isn't overwhelming but now that phrase feels a lot less special. if one was to say 'one in a billion' it would be 7 people total. since more people will come into the world, i think we need to just call our person 'special' and tell them they hold a place in our hearts :)
