I say children of Nyx are basically vampires during the day, like they can still go outside and all but their just sluggish is all
But when it's night
Boy we got some gremlins on our hands
I also have a idea that children of Nyx can plant themselves into consciousness or dreams (it's best to look into mythology on this one)
Nyx's kids are somewhat protected, Nyx is a powerful predimordial being that even Zeus is afraid of so I doubt God's and goddesses will be messing with these guys
