i was called a homophobic slur today for the first time. not a good feeling. i was stupid to think it would never really happen. not until i move to NYC at least. but nope. even in the gayest, most accepting school in my tiny little conservative town, it happened. like i said, stupid of me to think it wouldn't happen.
but it's not okay. it shouldn't happen ANYWHERE, for ANY reason. i hate that there's nothing we can do to stop it.
