Hi, everyone!
The El Diva Series has officially ended today. I began writing the first installment of this series when I was eighteen years old, and now, in my twenties, it has finally reached its last chapter. Completing the three stories in one series is an achievement I never thought I could accomplish. Throughout the journey, insecurities and doubts often made me question if I deserved to be called a writer. The process wasn’t easy, but I proved to those little voices in my head that I write because I have a purpose to share with the world. Over time, through my characters and self-realization, I gathered confidence each time I opened my laptop to transform my thoughts into words.
Being an author is not because I wish to compete with highly respected poets on this platform or even in this field, but it’s a way of God telling me that he can’t go down each time his beloved creation is facing nerve-wracking, faith-testing battles, so he utilized my soul to torch one’s gloomy mind, impeding them to rediscover the beauty this world has to offer, and I am so, so thankful that this time around, after letting go of my pen from years of trying to finish a book, I can finally say that the journey was worthwhile because I am still here. The light in me still shines.
To Angel and Charissa, I am deeply grateful. The Lord tied our red strings together for a reason. Angel, thank you for always reading whatever I wrote and affirming that my words deserve to be shared with the world. Because of you, I managed to write not just one book but an entire series. Hindi na ulit ako titigil sa pagsusulat, Angel.
Charissa, my soulmate, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Despite your own obligations and personal life, you always made time to read my stories and ensured my hard work was seen and cherished. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. Please keep me forever, Cha. I love you both in every life we have in the entire universe!
