a friend, a sister, and someone who has been with me through my entire journey of growing up just announced that she’s engaged. I feel both overjoyed and a little wistful. Over the past decade, she’s faced so many storms, so much cruelty and unfairness.
I’m grateful that she finally has someone who truly loves her, and I hope she’ll find all the happiness in the world with her own family.
