“If you’ve ever studied mortal age cartoons, you’ll remember this one. A coyote was always plotting the demise of a smirking long-necked bird. The coyote never succeeded; instead, his plans always backfired. He would blow up, or get shot, or splat from a ridiculous height. {..} I’ve seen human foibles that have resulted in temporary maiming or momentary loss of life. People stumble into manholes, are hit by falling objects, trip into the paths of speeding vehicles. {..} And when it happens, people laugh, because no matter how gruesome the event, that person, just like the coyote, will be back in a day or two, as good as new, and no worse—or wiser—for the wear. Immortality has turned us all into cartoons.” ~Scythe, Neal Shusterman I try to not use this too often since that update ages ago. I really appreciate the feedback so far on my story, Son of Mors. I've really put a lot of effort into it, and I hope it comes through. Have the most amazing day. And if anybody wants to talk, just Dm. I like to think I'm friendly :).

I think the mistake the writers made on that one is that both N and M were just copies of L, but with different quirks. They never really developed into their own, full characters, so it was impossible to feel emotionally invested in them. Half the time, I don't even think they cared if their character existed or not. They just did what the writers needed them to do for the plot's sake.

@VagrantDust I liked all of it, although I admit I didn't get at all invested in Near and Mellow. I understand their relevance, however.

I do. Up until L dies. And as much as I appreciate his death as a great plot element, I did not like how they replaced him.

Thanks for following, Jayden.

Thats a lot of text on a single cover. But you really write a different genre. If I am north pole, you might be south. But oh well, it was nice meeting you!
_One_StrayHuman
@bottle_of_rum It was nice meeting you too! That cover was done quite awhile ago with the old version of the story. I'm hoping to get it redone sometime. Because i've grown out of it, and i think the story has as well
