Dr Lim walked into his office, obviously annoyed, and her dark hair, which was usually pulled up tightly and neatly, loose and out of place, “So my day has already been hell in the ER and if Andrews tells me one more time to ‘monitor the ambulances better’ because I was in a patient’s room doing an assessment of a suspected broken bone when an ambulance call came through and even though I twisted my ankle running out to it he called it ‘lazy response time’, which wasn’t even a life threatening emergency and all I had to do was order an EEG, I’m going to find out how much tranquilizers it takes to knock a grown man to his knees.” she huffed as she sat down one of the chairs in front of his desk, letting the clipboard in her hand hit her lap, “anyways, how’s your day going?”

Ever since Glass man's on vacation, I've been emailed hundreds of odd questions unrelated to medicine in any way so i had called noon meeting about Murphy dealing his personal problems through the pager and slowing down urgent incoming dials." He grumbled in disbelief while checking his watch and looking back at Audrey. "Hey, It's time for a coffee break. Let me treat you, I have coffee machine upstairs, but it's a secret. Let's go" He suggested casually

Audrey Lim was pretty much never at a loss for words…. Except for now. Her dark eyes just stared at him before finally finding words, “Neil?” Her voice was quiet and her breath was shaking, a rarely heard tone out of the woman’s mouth.

Audrey Lim came practically sprinting into elevator, out of breath and having a stupidly happy smile on her face. She pressed the button to her floor and looked to the other, “For the record, on the odd chance that anyone would ask you, I had nothing to do with what happened to the the new nurse.”
@_RE-BORN “I’m sure your aorta isn’t going to explode Neil.” She called after with a slight chuckle as the elevator door closed. When she got up to her floor, she sighed when she noticed the nurses standing around again, “All of you, get moving. We still have work to do.”

I'll be able to head straight to the surgery and you won't be annoyed by gossip matters so it's a double win." He arched an eyebrow as he looked back. "Confidence issue? I prefer to call it knowing my worth. Now excuse me, I gotta treat an aneurysm before it explodes and ruins my confidence" He said cockily as he left the elevator

@Carter_Green He ignored his comments as he tried not to lose his cool and walked up to the nurse station for charts instead while greeting everyone before turning to face him one last time. "Watch your tongue. All i ever wanted from you was to do your job. Nurse Cole? You'll be joining me today instead of Carter. Nurse Carter, you'll come up to my office once your shift is over. Till then you'll be to assist to our new intern. Any questions? Good. Off you go" He ordered as he walked away
//I had an idea for an AU. In this Sophia is actually Hades, who has come up to the human world to secretly be with their wife who has to remain there 6 months of the year.

She placed a gold coin in the dead child's mouth.
"To help you get across the river Styx." She whispered. She then placed a white sheet over him. She made a mental note of the child's face so that she could visit them in Elysium to check that they were ok. She was not soft - no matter what Persephone said, she just had a soft spot for children. Hence, why whenever her husband was forced to go and see his mother for 6 months of the year. Hades would spend her time, half running the underworld (it was pretty self sufficient without her help) and being a Pediatric doctor.
She hated breaking the news to her patients' families, she wanted desperately to reveal her true form and comfort them that their child would be protected and safe but she couldn't.
She sighed.
"Dr Martino, do you mind showing the new attending surgeon around?" One of the senior registrars jogged up to her.
She nodded. In the early 20th century, she had decided on the permanent alias of Sophia Martino whenever she was in the human world, she couldn't remember why she had chosen the name but it stuck.
She followed the registrar and when they got closer she could smell the sicky sweet smell of nectar. Oh no.
And there standing in front of her was her younger brother, Zeus. Who she hadn't seen in millennia since the stituation with Persephone and her crazy mother in law, Demeter.
"This is Dr Melendez, Dr Melendez, this is Dr Martino." The registrar introduced them to each other. As Hades stared at her brother.

I just wanted to drop something, but couldn't think of anything as my normal OC so I decided to do an AU where she is Hades as I wanted to see the dynamic. There was an awkward silence that filled the room as Hades let out a breath of air. Should she acknowledge her brother? Or just ignore the fact that he was standing in front of her for the first time in millennia? They didn't have the best relationship to start off with either. After the defeat of the Titans, her and Poseidon went off to rule the Underworld and the Sea respectively and rarely saw their younger brother. Now thinking about it, she hadn't seen Poseidon since then. She frowned. He liked Poseidon, they were close during their time in Kronos' stomach. It was weirdly bittersweet thinking on those memories. She shook her head. Maybe she'd chat with Persephone, he always knew what to do. "Come Dr Melendez. I'll show you around." She gave a brief smile towards Zeus.
@artisticagent / you mean the idea to combine an olympian god and a doctor? Well, it wasn't your idea while we're at it, but i guess that's it.. Zeus has been comfortable on Earth recently much more since he didn't have to deal with other gods trying to push him off his leader position of other gods and found joy in helping the humans personally. Apart from some other gods he hasn't seen humans as worthless pawns or tools to access greater power. However he was expecting he'd meet one of his siblings on Earth at some point. Especially after disappearing for a month which was long enough to raise a few questions. Soon it was getting just harder and harder to lead both of the lives, but the god was truly happy for his place at St Bonaventure hospital yet his recent leave was crucifial for his career and he decided to explore other hospitals in order to meet new colleagues. To his surprise there was no other than the last person he would expect at a helping position, his brother Hades. This clearly couldn't be good.
The redhead stumbled into the hospital, only to collapse in the middle of the floor at his feet. The front of her dress was soaked with blood and she was trembling. She’d come alone and it was uncertain what had happened, but she clearly had several deep stab wounds to her torso and a shallow cut on the side of her throat.

I figured you got caught up with work.” She told him softly, carefully taking the plate.” Do you want to share this? I won’t be able to eat it all.” She looked at the dessert, then back to the surgeon.” They gave me soup and jello for dinner.”
@sunnyruler "Alright. I'll be returning back later. Try to be careful and if you dont feel well you can call the nurse." He said softly and slowly left the room. Few hours later he was just finished with the surgery and as he was returning to see more images, he checked the time on his watch and quickly written descriptions under the images before printing it and adding it to patient's files. Despite his dark personality he's been still determined individual that wouldnt lack his job. Around 7pm he eventually made it to her room with a tiramisu on plate. "Will you accept this as an apology. The work took me unexpectedly longer than planned due to technical issues with the scanner" He rolled his eyes slightly before smiling down at her. "I figured you might need this. Food isnt the best here"
