Hello there!
My name is Sebastian, I am Skylar's older brother.
First and foremost, I would like to thank each and every one of you for supporting my sister on this website, through becoming a fan of her work, a dedicated member of her book club and even just by being a friend to her on here. For that alone I am thankful.
However, it comes with a heavy heart to announce that Skylar sadly passed away on 11 February 2016. I don't know if she told you but she had a heart condition called cardiomyopathy, one that required a heart transplant. She was fortunate enough to receive one a couple of months ago. Yet, even after she received the new heart she was still very poorly. It breaks my family and I's heart to see her leave this world so soon. She was loved by everyone who knew her and taught us all to treasure the time we have together.
For those of you that didn't know her well, she was a hard-working person who always saw the good in everyone and everything. She always put everyone else before herself. She was beautiful inside and out. I've never seen her depressed or angry about her condition. She was soo brave and strong. She was a fighter! And she will be missed dearly.
