Before you massacre me for that statement let me explain it better. From Toby McQuire's to Tom Hollands the character development of her is that of wet cardboard. Everyone screams, and has for years, that she always loved Peter for Peter, but in all reality that statement has never been more twisted. Think, had either of the characters not been bitten she'd have never noticed him, ever. He was the geek and she wasn't. In my opinion, especially with the recent movie and that scene (you know the one), she only ever loved Spiderman, Peter was just who happened to be bitten and given the abilities. Now Gwen? She adored Peter, because they were friends before the bite, even if Andrew's Peter didn't realize it, out of all the partners for Peter Parker, she was the only one who liked Peter for Peter, never Mary/MJ
