Hello! This is for all my Gregor the Overlander followers, the rest of y'all won't understand this
So, I've been thinking of rewriting my book, as I've had more ideas and am not the most proud of what I put out there. It will take some time, as it's been a while since I've read any of the books.
There's one change that I was thinking of making, but I won't if too many people are opposed to it:
Changing the pairings. Putting Gregor with Keith, and Luxa with an oc I had planned for the 7th book.
What it would look like if I...
CHANGED THE PAIRINGS
- adding more details to my writing
- giving Keith a backstory, I was lazy and made him a 2-d character, but I think that many of his traits would balance out Gregor
- changing the plot slightly, more than if the pairings didn't change
- still keep Lizzy and whateverhisname is (Hamnet? something like that) together
- keep Luxa and Gregor as friends. The only reason they seem to be 'together' in the books is their shared experiences, the bond that formed. They understand each other, but that doesn't mean that they need to be in love, they can be close friends
KEPT THE PAIRINGS
- still improve my writing
- keep the plot closer to the original
- still add more to Keith, make him a likeable character instead of some random dude
