What I'm Looking For
I'm looking for stories that aren't that popular, but have potential. Of course, I do have my tastes, and if you write in any style there will always be people who don't like your book, and sometimes that may be me. I tend to favor dystopian and Sci-Fi genres, and I like a lot of mystery and suspense.
Now that you know my tastes, here's what I usually look for in a book. One or two of the following:
Good character development. Interesting characters, different backstories, stuff like that.
Good plot and storyline. To me these parts are the most important. I'm looking for stuff that's unique, that's never been done before. This is why I like authors like @koolkeaton and @ZanderParker , because despite their poor narraration, their storylines and plots are unique.
Play with space-time. In other words, find some way to make the book seem real. Another reason I like @KoolKeaton , in some of his books, he claims that the books themselves are from the future. In his short "Breaking The 5th Wall," he has an interesting concept that makes the book come alive.
Suspense. Keep it suspenseful from the start. Something I think @baybillybobob has done a great job of in "November Fog."
I hope these examples of stuff I like helps!
Note: Exercising the right of freedom of speech, I will speak about many different authors that I like, however, if you do not wish for me to speak of you, please inform me and I won't.
