“Don’t you ever wonder if there’s something more?”
I cast a droll look in his direction. He was staring out into the torrential downpour, focusing somewhere inside of his own head once again. Following his gaze outward, I sighed. “Doesn’t everyone?”
He dropped his head and shoved his hands into his pockets. “I just don’t know anymore, Liv. This rain, this cold, this feeling.”
“I know what you mean. There’s nothing we can do about it though.” I dropped my own head. My short hair fell away from the back of my head, leaving it with an icy chill. “We can’t control the weather or our feelings. We just have to deal and cope with it to the best of our abilities.”
“That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of.”
Me too.
